The aftermath of Hurricane Sandy 2012 impacted all of us in NJ and in the Tri State Area. Looking back, for me, Sandy was an evil force that brought destruction to the lives of many including my community of Lake Hopatcong NJ. After the storm, I was asked to go to Hoboken NJ from my employer to aid in the response process.

A life changing moment happened when I took a walk with the camera on a coffee break. The sky started to glow and change in colors. It was both ominous and gloomy but beautiful in colors. As a torn photographer I wanted to depict the beauty of nature but the anger of aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. It was the most amazing NYC sunset I have ever seen and it rivaled some of the most breathtaking landscape shots I have ever witnessed. The colors have been saturated but help to reflect my emotional interpretation.
